Tourism cooperation discussed
March 15, 2010 (Doha, Qatar) –
Mr. Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Qatar Tourism Authority, met with Mr. Anuar Nahes, the Brazilian Ambassador in Qatar on Monday. Also present at the meeting was Mr. Jabor Al-Mohannadi, Head of Public and International Relations of Qatar Tourism Authority.
Mr. Al Nuaimi exchanged views with Mr. Nahes on tourism coordination between the State of Qatar and Brazil. The two sides discussed ideas on cooperation between the two countries on tourism, and various investments in tourism in both the private and public sectors. Mr. Al Nuaimi and Mr. Nahes also discussed signing a memorandum of understanding between the two countries to further bi-lateral cooperation in tourism.
Mr. Al Nuaimi and Mr. Nahes discussed the opportunity for Brazil to stage an exhibition in Qatar promoting Brazilian-made materials and products. Mr. Nahes expressed his appreciation for such an invitation by Qatar Tourism Authority and will consider holding an event in Qatar in the future.
