Qatar and Italy signs a Memorandum of Understanding for Tourism Cooperation

The governments of the State of Qatar represented in Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), and the Republic of Italy represented in the tourism department at the Prime Minister''s office, on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for tourism cooperation between the two countries. Chairman of QTA Ahmed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, signed for qatar while italian tourism minister Michela Vittoria Brambilla signed for her country. The MOU signing ceremony held at milan province building was attended by qatar''s ambassador in Rome H.E. sultan saad almreikhei and a number of concerned italian officials. The MoU reflects the desire of the two sides for further bolstering bilateral relations and enhancing joint cooperation in tourism sector based on the exchange of joint inrterests. According to the MOU , the two sides are to seek to create adequate circumstances to establish a long-term tourism cooperation for joint interests as per the laws , systems and policies effective in each country in tourism planning and development through the exchange of expertise , publications, data and statistics plus cooperating in tourism marketing and promotion via the exchange of propaganda and advertising programmes and materials and tourist films and products available in both countries and marketing them via all media organs . The MoU makes it imperative on the two sides to call upon their respective nationals and residents to spend their holidays, vaccations and organise tourist travels and tourist youth camps in the other country to encourage and flourish tourism industry between them.
