QTA participates at the International Luxury Travel Market in Cannes
Cannes, FRANCE (8 December 2009) – Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) is participating in the eighth annual International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM), the leading business to business event for the global luxury travel communtiy, this week in Cannes. Given the focus on business and high-end travellers, this is the second year that QTA will participate at ILTM.
ILTM is one of the industry’s most important global platforms for promoting luxury travel, unique travel experiences, ultra-luxurious accomodations and elite transportation. Qatar Tourism Authority will promote Qatar to the European and global market, by focusing on its distinctive attractions and high quality hospitality services to VIP buyers from the business and leisure sectors, among them conferences organizers, incentive planners and travel operators.

Already known as a progressive business hub, Qatar is well-positioned to take advantage of the business and leisure travel market, offering state-of-the-art venues with a harmonious blend of upscale leisure and cultural attractions. Additionally, to meet forcasted tourism demand, hotel capacity in Qatar will increase 400% to over 29,000 luxury rooms and apartments by 2012. This year, Doha opened the W Hotel and the Grand Hyatt, and is looking to add the Hilton, Renaissance, Marriott and Shangri-la hotels in 2010 to its list of numberous luxury hotels already open to visitors.
