Paris, France. The appeal, the beauty and the style that characterise Italian car design will take centre stage at the first international edition of the Qatar Motor Show, an exhibition dedicated to the automobile and to the world of motor vehicles due to take place in Doha from 26^th to 29^th January 2011. 

 

The Qatar Motor Show, organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) in partnership with Q.media Events and GL events, and under the patronage of HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al Thani, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, will provide an international showcase for 8 of the biggest names in Italian car design, allowing them to bring their creations to Qatar for the first time.

 

In collaboration with the Car Coachbuilders Group of ANFIA, the Italian Association of the Automotive Industry, the Qatar Motor Show will host an area dedicated to concept cars, super cars, and to the prototypes conceived by several prestigious names in the fields of Made in Italy automotive design and special bodywork manufacture: Autostudi, Bertone, Castagna, Fioravanti, Pininfarina, Salt, Spada, Touring Superleggera.

 

Italian Coachbuilders, in a similar way to high fashion houses and designers, are stylists, prototype makers and creators of show cars, who make use of virtual reality laboratories and aerodynamic and aeroacoustic research centres that stand for excellence in the research and innovation sector at the global level.

 

World-renowned for the geniality and characteristic traits of their style, for their ability to unite functionality and aesthetic quality, and for their skill in planning the design of a vehicle from the conceptual stage to the production phase, Italian car designers are recognised as a point of reference by foreign buyers, who make use of their creativity and technological know-how in order to transform a mass product into a personalised, well-crafted 'custom-built' or 'limited edition' piece.

 

The Qatar Motor Show will allow guests to get a true feel for the 'perfect' car, to experience the emotion provided by this magical union of beauty and technology, which is an authentic representation of Italian elegance as applied to the automobile: super cars, concept cars and special models that have been designed and constructed to stimulate the senses and trigger emotions.

 

Due to be hosted at the Doha Exhibitions Center, the first edition of the Qatar Motor Show  thus reinforces its identity as an event that is able to tap into the most evolved segments of the business in a country that represents one of the most important international markets for sports and luxury vehicles, and where demand for unique, personalised models that embody the appeal intrinsic to the Italian style also provides promising prospects from a commercial point of view.
