DOHA: The 100-day countdown to Asian Cup 2011 will be marked with a ‘clock ceremony’ today. The ceremony will be attended by Mohammed bin Hammam, the President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
The giant clock will be unveiled at the Corniche (waterfront) side of Doha city with officials of Qatar Football Association (QFA) and AFC pressing the button to start the countdown at exactly 7:15 pm.
The countdown will end when Qatar take on Uzbekistan in the opening match of Asian Cup, the region’s showpiece football event.
The event will also witness a Kabuki drop and entertainment from amazing street performers which dazzle and entertain.
